I remember well changing my major from Chemistry to Animal Science so I could drop Biochemistry Lab and then taking Nutrition class with Lee Wittwer. Professor Wittwer brought so much enthusiasm to the classroom. He routinely had a slide projector running and projected pictures of people and animals suffering from deficiencies of various nutrients. He worked hard to connect with the students, and help the students connect with the course content. He inspired me to become a better teacher, and that is why I donate to his memorial scholarship.
